The UGC NET 2023 Application Fee is different for different category. The application fee is non-refundable in all the case. Candidates can do the payment of the UGC NET Application fee online by Credit Card/Debit Card & Net banking. Before applying candidate must go through the UGC NET 2022 notification.

Candidates who have scored minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s OR equivalent exam from universities/ institutions that are recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) & Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science, etc. are eligible for this Exam.

For Reserved Categories: The OBC belonging to non-creamy layer/Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ persons with disabilities(PwD) category candidates who have scored minimum 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s or equivalent exam are eligible for this test.

For SET Candidates: The candidates who have qualified the States Eligibility Test (SET) conducted by UGC for Assistant Professor held prior to 1st June 2002, are exempted from appearing in NET & are eligible to apply for Assistant Professor all over in India.

For Transgender Candidates: The transgender category would be eligible to have the same benefits of relaxation like in fee, age, & qualifying criteria for NET (JRF & Assistant Professor) as provided to SC/ST/PwD categories.

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2023: The test will have two papers. Both the papers will have only objective-type questions without break. In the table given below, candidates must check all details about New UGC NET 2023 Exam Pattern.

The UGC NET 2023 syllabus of the National Eligibility Test (NET) is different for different subjects available. There are more than 100 subjects that are included in NET. The no. of candidates to be qualified for Assistant Professor shall be equal to 6% of the total candidates who have appeared in both the papers of NET Exam.

In order to be considered for ‘JRF & Eligibility for Assistant Professor’ & for ‘Assistant Professor’, the candidate must have to be appeared in both the papers & scored minimum 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for the General category candidates & minimum 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for all candidates who belongs to the reserved categories
